I picked up this sweet little buffet/server at an auction in Arizona before moving. I didn’t have time to paint it there so I made my husband pack it up in the truck. It was so cute, I couldn’t leave it behind. Or should I say…I knew it was going to be so cute!!!
Here’s what she looked like when I first brought her home.
And here’s what she looks like now! I started by painting a base coat of CeCe Caldwell’s Vintage White. Then I painted the outline and shelves with Seattle Mist (light gray).I added some character with a stripped skirt. To see an easy way to add stripes you can see my tutorial here. Then I decided it would be fun to add an element of surprise with a pop of color inside the cabinet when you open the door. I painted the bottom with Kailua Coral and then added a pretty stencil. Here’s a closeup. This handsome guy is my nephew and helping hand when I need it. Paxton helped me carry the buffet out into the sunlight so I could take photos. He’s so sweet to help his Aunt Judy! She’ll be on her way to Pickin’ on the Prairie next weekend, August 16 & 17. Hope you can join me!
