Setting The Stage To Sell

Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (14)Placing our house on the market happened so fast that we had to stage quickly.  I didn’t plant flowers in the flower beds this spring and it’s too hot now to plant so I utilized the pots we had and planted some colorful flowers in them.  I’m hand watering daily, trying to keep them alive.  I do NOT have a green thumb so this isn’t an easy task for me.  If someone buys our home in the next week, I’m golden.  Otherwise, I’m sure there are more trips to the nursery in my future.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (10)So here’s our little desert cottage.  It’s been a GREAT place for us to live the past 2 1/2 years during our stay here in Arizona.  We love all our neighbors.  They’ve been so kind and were so welcoming when we moved into the neighborhood.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (1)I wanted to greet all the potential buyers with a positive message as the walked to our front door.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (8)These flowering bushes are located right inside the gate.  They attract hummingbirds and butterflies.  So fun to watch.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (2)As you walk along the side of our house on the way to the pool, you’ll pass this rustic white potting bench my husband made with these pretty flowers sitting on top.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (4)As you can see, we have a huge 14,000 gallon diving pool.  The previous owner had this installed.  It’s almost bigger than the house.  We’ve have SO enjoyed it during the heat of the Arizona summers.  Truly a life saver!!!Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (5)Our Tommy Bahama chairs from Costco!  Check out the rooster peering from the shadows.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (7)A very special friend made this for us a few years ago.  He has since passed away so we really cherish this gift.  IMAG0568This is what the pool looked like when we bought this house.  It was a HUD home and had been neglected and vandalized.   Amazing huh?  No other investor wanted to take a chance on it, but we were up for the challenge.  Just $3000 later we had a beautiful pool including a brand new pump.  The risk paid off!Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (15)

Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (11)We have a small covered patio with a ceiling fan right outside our kitchen door and from our master bedroom.  My parents bought us this bistro set as a house warming gift right after we moved here and they came for a visit.Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (12)When I was trying to take these outdoor shots, there was a baby bird sitting on the table.  I couldn’t get it to move.  I knew it must be able to fly or it wouldn’t have been able to get on top of it.  It was making a horrible mess (if you know what I mean).  I didn’t want to hurt it so I picked up the hose and lightly sprayed some water it’s way.  It quickly flew away.  I cleaned up the mess and turned the fan on so it wouldn’t come back.  So far so good.  The bird you see in this photo, it the kind I don’t mind hanging around…no messes!Setting The Stage To Sell ~ Vintage Street Designs (16)We’ve set the stage and it’s been placed in God’s hands.  We know He has perfect timing, so our trust and faith is in Him.

Blessings ~ Judy
