Upcycled Nightstands, Just 6 Days Left

CeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (14)This is what happens when we clean up our garage!  We find buried treasures like this pair of Henredon nightstands.  This is the last of my back stock.  Whoohoo!  You know what that means?  MORE SHOPPING!  YES!!!Before photo Henredon Nightstand ~ Vintage Street DesignsHere’s a before photo.  I picked these up at an auction months ago.  I can’t believe I actually found this old photo.CeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (8)I had fun with these.  My original thought was to paint them in a two-tone gray but realized I was out of Pittsburgh Gray here at home and I didn’t want to stop everything and run down to the store.  So…I quickly came up with a NEW plan!Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (1)I pulled out Vintage White for a fast quick base coat then added Kentucky Mint, Blue Mountain Sky and Santa Fe Turquoise.CeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (12)I did some major wet distressing.  If you can see, I only did all of these colors in highlighted areas and on the tops of each nightstand.  The rest of the cabinet just has Vintage White and Santa Fe Turquoise.  While I was distressing, those highlighted areas exposed all the different colors.CeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (19)After distressing I added a mix of Waxing Cream and Aging Cream (heavy on the Aging Cream).CeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (2)These are definitely going to be my splash of color at Junk In The Trunk Vintage Market this coming Saturday.  Only 6 days left!!!Upcycled Henredon Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs (4)Hope you had a wonderful weekendCeCe Caldwell's Paints Upcycled Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs
