Painted Placemats With Natural Chalk + Clay Paint

St. Patrick's Day Tablescape Painted Placemats ~ Vintage Street Designs (8)As you can see, I’m still working on my tablescape. Sticking with the theme of CeCe Caldwell’s Paints ~ Emerald Isle color scheme.  I picked up these placemats at Walmart for just $1.98 each.  I was looking for chargers and after checking at three different stores, I gave up and came up with another plan.

St. Patrick's Day Tablescape ~ Vintage Street Designs (3)Here’s the original color of the placemats.  It’s nice that they were already primed in green for me.  Haha!

St. Patrick's Day Tablescape ~ Vintage Street Designs (5)I got out my roller and went to town.  Once they were painted, I laid them out in the sun to dry quickly.

St. Patrick's Day Tablescape ~ Vintage Street Designs (6)Next, I brushed on a layer of Endurance to seal and protect.  I left to go run a few errands and when I returned, they were dry and ready for use.

St. Patrick's Day Tablescape ~ Vintage Street Designs (7)Yay…it worked like a charm and I LOVE them!!!

I’ll reveal the entire tablescape tomorrow!  Just have to place the finishing touches!

See you soon!
