Wow…what a project this was! I know I’ve said this before but Dick and Jeanne are such wonderful clients to work with and have become very special friends. It has truly been an honor to work with them and I’m so thankful they choose me as their Designer. I took soooo many photos but I’ll try not to overwhelm you and just point out the highlights. I’m also happy to share my shopping sources with you. If I don’t mention an item that you love, please just leave me a comment and I’ll let you know where I got it.Here’s a quick reminder of what the master bedroom used to look like.
Leads right into the on-suite.It’s a spacious room where my client’s wanted to have alternative seating to enjoy the T.V.We arrived bright and early on site Thursday morning. There was plenty of excitement on both sides to get started. We immediately began with laying down the carpet under the king size bed and then moved right into installing the custom made drapes. I purchased the off-white colored drapes and then added the beautiful contrasted fabric requested by Jeanne. She had seen other upholstery projects I had done with this fabric and really wanted it incorporated into their master bedroom.

Joann Fabrics ~ Upholstery MaterialJeanne had seen a wall of mirrors in a model home and asked if I could create the same effect over their TV. She actually had a couple of mirrors already and then went shopping for the rest. She did a fantastic job with her selections, I just had to arrange them. It turned out so pretty and it was such a blessing to have my hubs along to do all the hanging. Then it was time to move in the furniture. First the nightstands and then the lamps.
Nightstands ~ Vintage Street Designs, painted with CeCe Caldwell’s Paints in Vintage White and distressed.

Chairs and pillows ~ Vintage Street DesignsA quick detour was made to the master bath where we hung a vintage inspired window over the garden tub. A preserved boxwood was added for color and texture.Next came the accessorizing…

The little antique chair in this photo is getting reupholstered in matching fabric. I’m also going to upholster a footstool for Jeanne to use when sitting in her chair. She’s a short one like me! If our feet don’t touch the floor, we just need a little something to assist.
I have so many more photos but I think these capture the room quite well. If you have any questions about anything you see, please let me know.
I just can’t say it enough…what a pleasure it is to work with Dick & Jeanne. I can’t help but be excited to help them with all their design needs since they are so near and dear to my heart! I thought I would share a note I received from Jeanne just this morning. You’ll see what I mean after you read it!
Dick and I want to thank you from the bottom of our heart for the beautiful bedroom oasis that you created!!!
I still can’t believe that this is My Room! We absolutely love it all! You Never cease to amaze me! Your attention to detail is just impeccable. What a huge difference from beginning to end!!! There is not one thing that I don’t just LOVE! There is such a feeling of peace and contentment that I get when you finish a room for me. What I hoped it would be – you have turned it into a dream come true! Your love, kindness, caring shows in everything that you have done for us. I love the big changes right down to that cute little bird on the nightstand! Dick knows that the bedroom is such a retreat for me – I love to sit in my chairs and relax and watch TV. Dick really likes everything too – he has told me over and over!
I’m so happy this wonderful couple moved to Arizona and are now apart of our lives!!!
Until next time…
