This Country Stool is Singing The Blues! Are you ready for some before, during and after photos?  Oh good, ’cause I’m ready to show you! This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (2)  Before, kind of a dirty yellow color. This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (3)First things first, had to paint a base coat of CeCe Caldwell’s Vintage White!  Whoa…it already looks so much better, right? This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (4)Let’s see, what color should I paint this adorable country kitchen stool?  Red?  Well, yes…but I just finished painting another kitchen stool red so I went with a softer look using CeCe’s Blue Montana Sky.  Oh So Pretty!!!This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (5)Then came a little wet distressing!  I love this finish for a kitchen stool that will get a lot of use.  If it gets a few scuff marks, no big deal.  It will just add to the look of “Aged To Perfection”.This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (11)

This Country Stool is Singing The Blues (13)I can just picture a child or grandchild climbing up to help their mommy and grandma bake cookies!  Could easily become a family heirloom to treasure for years to come!  So glad I was able to rescue her and can’t wait to see who takes her home!

  1. Love it! I just did a chair in ASC English Yellow and aged it down using dark wax. Love that instant vintage look!
