Laundry Makeover Inspirations

I finished painting the laundry room today at our Condo Rehab Project.  It’s a small space so I wanted it to be really light and bright.  I painted the walls yellow and left the ceiling white.  I LOVE these inspirational laundry rooms by Sarah Richardson.  They were both done in the condo’s color pallet.  The hubs is going to build a bench seat with a white a cabinet above for storage.  It’s going to be the first thing you see as you enter the laundry area.  I need a few decorative items so I turned to Pinterest for ideas and thought I’d share them with you.

As you enter the laundry room in the condo, there is a wall on your right that is just screaming for some sort of wall art.  It can’t stick out from the wall or it would be bumped constantly and make the space seem cramped.  I thought these were some cute ideas.b8d668c996d2d5dc8535e5f282046b89Source:  jannols0n

This is the ceiling light I purchased.  I had to get a pull chain lighting fixture to replace the one that’s in the room already (which consists of a single light bulb hanging down.  However, mine has gold trim.  I couldn’t find a photo of it on Home Depot’s website and the actual fixture is over at the condo.  I thought about painting the gold stripe in a fun color but now that it’s up against the yellow walls, I kinda like it as-is!  The ceiling height is quite high so I had to purchase more chain. 671961403836lgSource:  Lowes

Harbor Breeze White and Brass Pull Chain.  Picked up at Lowes today.

I wish I knew how to do electrical.  My poor husband has SO many items on his to-do list.  But the last time I tried to re-wire a lamp, I blew up the wall socket. Yikes!!!  Best if I leave it up to him!

Can’t wait to share the entire finished condo tour with you.  It won’t be long now!!!
