It’s going to be an exciting day! I’m delivering a HUGE order to some very special clients today. There is a truck load of furniture as well as accessories to complete their space. There’s nothing I enjoy more than to decorate and it’s just an added BONUS when I can bring happiness to others at the same time. This gorgeous piece was made by Henredon and I’ve incorporated the colors of my client’s home. This cabinet will be used for game storage. I can just visualize all those table games stacked inside. Oodles and oodles of fun building memories with friends and family.I replaced the original knobs up top to bring out more of a cottage feel. I also have clear crystal and metallic knobs in my bag so my clients can choose which they like best.I couldn’t write this post without showing you a photo of what this dresser looked like before I got my hands on it!
To finish this cabinet, I used CeCe Caldwell’s Paints collection. Vintage White was used for the base color. The top has three coats plus three coats of Polycrylic for protection. The sides and outline were then painted with Young Kansas Wheat. The drawers and doors were painted with Sante Fe Turquoise. I lightly distressed with a damp cloth then added clear wax over the entire piece. Next, I brushed on a little aging cream to darken the turquoise and add a deeper distressing finish. I can’t wait to deliver it tomorrow. It’s going to look great along side the game/dining table that is finished in a two-tone of Vintage White and Young Kansas Wheat. Oh…and the chandelier I ordered to hang over the table was delivered on my door step today. Whew! The final piece has arrived. So, so happy!!!
Looking forward to sharing the final reveal of the entire room with you next week!
Until then…have a lovely weekend!
