Lyre Italian Marble Top Accent Table

6Oh My Goodness Gracious…this is going to SO difficult to sell this one!  I have a BIG thing for marble and this piece is STUNNING!

BeforeHere’s a refresher of what she originally looked like when I brought her home.

12And her she is now!

7Such cute little acorn style accents on all four sides and the harp shape base just make me smile.

4If I were to keep her and she stayed right where she sits today, this would be the perfect place to store our car keys, outgoing mail, etc…

3I used a couple of layers of CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint to create this sweet finish.  First I used Vintage White and then Seattle Mist over the top.  Then I lightly distressed with a damp lint-free cloth and used Clear Waxing Cream to secure.  The waxing also gives it just a slight deeper, richer finish.11Here’s something I didn’t even know was not intentional.  See the bottom of the flower? It has been broken off and sanded.  I just thought that was design of the pull.  But, after further investigation online I have discovered that is not the case.  Oh well, it certainly doesn’t take away from it’s gorgeousness!!!  1This marble is so pretty, I can hardly stand it!  And the Vintage Boudoir Lamp with crystal prisms and cherub looks right at home sitting on top of it!

My husband has re-opened my etsy store but I haven’t had much time available to really get serious about it yet.  He has placed a few items up and these pieces will definitely be added.  I have at-least two weeks ahead of me strictly reserved for painting and then I hope to join in the refining of the shop.

Until next time…

  1. The grey color looks great on this table, Judy! I especially love the way it works better with the marble top compared to the “before” color.
