Wow, these wall sconces have such beautiful lines, they just needed a little something special to happen to bring out their charm!
Before I even got started, I asked my hubs to take them outside and give them a bright new shinny coat of gold using a can of spray paint. They were previously a dingy gold color and I wanted the gold to show through the paint treatment I was about to give them.
And here’s the after photo but you really need some closeups to appreciate the aged look. This shot just doesn’t do it justice.
NOW HERE”S WHAT I”M TALKING ABOUT!!! I just LOVE how the gold is coming through like these have been naturally aged through the years. I used CeCe Caldwell’s Paints for this technique ~ Vintage White, Seattle Mist and Kansas Wheat, then a mixture of clear and dark aging cream.
They will be so pretty with tapered candles in them.
You can find them for sale at Scottsdale Marketplace in Scottsdale, AZ by Regency Mod.
I can just imagine them hanging in a dining room, candles lit and the table set for a romantic dinner for two!
