Aged To Perfection

wall candelabra sconce (2) HeaderWow, these wall sconces have such beautiful lines, they just needed a little something special to happen to bring out their charm!

wall candelabra sconce (3) beforeBefore I even got started, I asked my hubs to take them outside and give them a bright new shinny coat of gold using a can of spray paint.  They were previously a dingy gold color and I wanted the gold to show through the paint treatment I was about to give them.

wall candelabra sconce (8)NOW HERE”S WHAT I”M TALKING ABOUT!!!  I just LOVE how the gold is coming through like these have been naturally aged through the years.  I used CeCe Caldwell’s Paints for this technique ~ Vintage White, Seattle Mist and Kansas Wheat, then a mixture of clear and dark aging cream.

wall candelabra sconce (11)You can find them for sale at Scottsdale Marketplace in Scottsdale, AZ by Regency Mod.

wall candelabra sconce (10)I can just imagine them hanging in a dining room, candles lit and the table set for a romantic dinner for two!
