Tuscan To Cottage Chic

Do you recognize these?  They’re from the Southern Living At Home collection.  I used to sell this collection several years ago.  A couple of weeks ago, my husband purchased several candle holders and a tray for just $15 at an auction.  I’ll be selling most of them but I’m keeping two for our condo rehab project.  Just one problem…in their original form, they wouldn’t match the color scheme.  So I decided to do a quick makeover by using ASCP Paris Grey and CeCe Caldwell’s Vintage White.  (It’s what I had on hand and worked perfectly.)

SAM_4940Before ~ the glass sconces had already been removed so it was easy to paint.  They just needed to be glued back on after painting.

SAM_4948I just did a little distressing by rubbing with a damp cloth.

SAM_4947Total time with allowing paint to dry in between coats was approx. 1 hour.  I just flipped on the light in the spare bathroom and did it all, start to finish, on the counter.  That’s what so great about chalk paint.  If I would have dripped, it just wipes right up!  No fuss, no muss!

SAM_4949Cleaned the glass sconces and Voila’ ~ Tuscan Style to Cottage Chic!

SAM_4951One more day and I’ll be heading to see my kids and grandchildren in Idaho!  Then on to Washington for my nephew’s high school graduation.  You may have to give me some bragging rights when I return ’cause I’m sure I’ll have plenty of pictures to share!

Have a fabulous coming week and I’ll talk to you soon!

Until next time…
