Old Drawers Repurposed

It’s Thursday already and I have a show in just TWO days!  I think I’m just about ready.  I always have more creative ideas I want to do for a show than I have time for that’s normal.  Check out my Events Page for all the details!!!

1Last week there was a stack drawers filled with utensils at an auction my husband and I attended.  While I was off visiting with friends, my husband bid on them but lost the bid. He mentioned that he didn’t want the utensils, he just wanted the old drawers.  A few minutes later, the woman that had won the bid approached him and asked if he still wanted the drawers?  She just wanted the utensils.  Of-coarse he said “YES” and she just gave them to him.  Yay!

5For the little legs, my husband used left over wooden knobs, attached them to old roller skate wheels and then screwed them into the drawer.  A total salvage project.  All the handles were  painted using textured brown spray paint.

9For these legs, the hubs cut down some old legs that he had been storing away just for such a project as this.  I used CeCe Caldwell’s Vintage White and Vermont Slate Chalk Paint for this drawer.  You can check out all of CeCe’s paint selection online at Furniture Affair or stop by if you live in the Phoenix area!

8The first two drawers, I used graphics I found from The Graphics Fairy.

11I made this graphic on Publisher and then used graphite paper to transfer the image onto the drawer front.

10Thank you so much for visiting.

Stay tuned for lots more pictures of this weekends Vintage Market, not only my booth but all the other great vintage finds as well.

Blessings ~ Judy

You are a true inspiration! You continue to pull exquisite ideas out of the bag and hey presto produce another master-piece.

  5. Old drawers are on my list of things I look for now, Judy. I’d actually like to get one for myself to put our decorative bed pillows into at night.

  6. Judy,
The drawers turned out fabulous! I have several drawers that I recently acquired at Habitat Restore that I plan on doing something very similar. I had in mind putting little feet on them and dressing them with new paint. I really like the “Love” one that you did so don’t be surprised if you see one in the near future that I do. Hope you have a great weekend!

    • Feel free to copy…I copied from my friend Claire @ The Rustic Pig! Would love to see yours when your done! :)
