WOW…what a great weekend! My husband brought home not one, not two but FIVE truck loads of furniture after our weekend of treasure hunting!!! I can’t wait to show you! Due to the fact this post would go on and on forever if I shared every picture individually, I decided to group them together. I’ll be showing them to you again in the near future as each one gets a makeover. Yay…let’s just get started.
The old rocker is in great condition. I LOVE it just as it sits. It just needs a good polish and we’re off to Junk In The Trunk Vintage Market on April 27th. The little stool is a keeper! I bought it for myself. I’ve never kept one before so I decided, THIS ONE IS IT! I think the telephone stand is calling for a graphic transfer, what do you think? The little yellow desk looks like it came straight from Holland. It has little tulips painted on the drawer fronts. It’s cute but would definitely not appeal to the masses, so I will be repainting it. I promise ~ it will still be cute!!!
OK, now here’s something I’ve never done before ~ I’m thinking of taking my first deconstructed piece of furniture to the Vintage Market. I know someone is going to love the horse on the front of this chair so I don’t want to remove it but obviously the seat needs a little attention. So, I’m just going to rip off the rest of the seat cover and just leave the springs exposed. We’ll see what happens. If it doesn’t find a home I will redo the entire chair. It’s kinda cool though, don’t ya think?
The sweet chair in the lower left-hand corner is on casters. It’s really adorable!
Holy Cow…this thing is huge! It must sprawl a good ten feet across. I will sell is as a set or separately. Wonderful dressers and vanity made by Ethan Allen.
And here’s the final set; A Drexel Heritage China Cabinet, French Provincial Table with six chairs and a few extra tables thrown in.
Whew, I’m going to be a very busy woman this week. Painting, painting and more painting. Good thing we have such beautiful weather here right now ~ in the 80′s this week, ’cause there is no room in our garage for me to work. I’ll be painting outside in the sunshine being inspired by the tunes of K-love playing on the radio!!!
