One down, five to go!

I am frantically getting ready for the three day event this weekend ’cause as you know, I practically sold out at last weekend’s show.  I’m not complaining…I’m just going crazy!  Haha!  Anyway, I just finished with this chair and my husband carried it over to our dining room table and sat down.  He then said “I think this would be a perfect chair at the head of the table for me to sit in.”  Don’t get me wrong, I love the chair but that’s one less thing now to load in the truck for The Big Heap!  As you can see by the photos, we are lacking dining chairs.  This is are only “keeper” thus far.  We just keep selling everything and end up with nothing!  Does anyone else do this?  


I have finished painting all I can paint.  Time has run out and set up is tomorrow in Cave Creek!  I’m taking the pieces at the bottom of this post with me to demonstrate chalk paint while I’m there!  The weather is going to be perfect so I hope you can join me!!!


I used CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint (Young Kansas Wheat) over ASCP (Old White) for this chair.  After rubbing it down with a damp cloth I sealed it with a mixture of dark and clear wax!  I added extra padding to the seat and then recovered it in a neutral, tightly woven fabric.

    Sure wish I could be there to see what you have. You’ve really intrigued me with what you show on your blog. Love that chair, the color and seat fabric makes it look quite regal. Love the lines of the chair.
    I had one similiar that hubs/youngest daughter decided I didn’t need so gave it back to the thrift store. I had plans to redo it and had made a cover for the back and the seat. Haven’t seen one like it since I could afford. I’d use it in our bedroom for now and have to use it on l/r when company comes. Have to watch those two.

      Thank you! I can’t tell you how many I have sold that I intended on keeping. lol I’m learning to just say “no” and keep what I want/need for our home. One of these days I’ll actually complete an entire room and share all the photos! :) Just keep looking, you’ll find the right replacement when you’re least expecting it! ~ Judy

    Good luck and have fun this weekend, Judy! I have a one day holiday market on Sunday and am excited and nervous. It is my first one. I can’t imagine getting ready for a 3-day show! One minute I think I have enough stuff and the next I’m worried I don’t have enough stuff!
