Shabby White Desk & Chair Makeover

My husband and I lived in Colorado Springs for a short time in 2009.  We owned a great little condo within walking distance of shopping and most importantly, a Starbucks!!!  Anyway…we needed two small desks to house our laptops and we found this desk, along with it’s match, at Cost Plus World Market.  They fit perfectly into our condo.  Now that we have a designated office space here in Arizona, we have more room for larger desks.  I decided to do a makeover and sell one along with this matching chair I refinished.  The other desk we are keeping to use as a bedside table.  It looks much prettier in white, don’t ya think?

OK…I just have to share that the little candle stick sitting on the desk came all the way from Italy.  I was there several years ago and I made the cab driver wait until siesta time was over for the shop to re-open so I could buy my souvenir.  Everything closes for two hours in the middle of the day.  Luckily, we found one restaurant that was open for us to get lunch.  Great memories!!!
