Paris Chocolat Graphic Cabinet

Good day to everyone!  Two or three weeks ago I picked up this old oak cabinet and I was so excited to have a piece with another cute little door that I could transfer a graphic on to.  I asked my wonderful husband to sand the top and coat it with dark walnut stain.  There are definitely variations in the wood but it gives it added interest. I painted the entire base in ASCP Old White and put a second coat of Smoky Mountain Gray from CeCe Caldwell’s collection.  The graphic came from none other than…The Graphics Fairy.  I used the Blender Transfer Method to transfer the design onto the door front.

Just thought I’d mention a little situation I came across.  I really enjoy using both of these waxing products but I already have two of ASCP brushes and when I purchased CeCe Caldwell’s wax, I realized the brushes don’t fit inside the container.  I didn’t want to invest in a smaller brush right now so I kept an empty container of Annie’s to mix my clear and dark wax together.  It works perfectly.  When I want to use just clear wax, I scoop out a little bit at a time onto the lid then my brushes work just fine.

  1. This is so cute – my Mom has a washstand just like this only it looks like your before pic! And it has the towel rack thing on the back of it. Love what you did with this:)

    • Thanks Jill…you are so lucky your mom has treasures like this. My mom & dad sold everything off to downsize several years ago (before I was doing this business) so most of these kind of heirlooms are gone! Have a great week! :)
