Getting It Done

I knew we were going to spend some time out-of-town this week and I have another trip planned at the end of the month so I’ve had to really pace myself.  There are three Vintage Markets next month that I need to be ready for!  Every once in awhile you refinish something that just doesn’t quite turn out the way you hoped which is the case for these couple of pieces.  So, I decided to change them up a bit.  I like them so much better now!  Sweet and simple!

Flower Table ↓

It used to have a yellow top with the white base and it just didn’t look quite the way I envisioned it.  All white and slightly distressed looks so much better!

End Table ↓

This little accent table used to be sage green and although I loved the way it looked, it was just the wrong color.  Now it’s revived with duck egg blue and old white.  It’s simply irresistible now!

Now…these next two pieces have a different story.  I picked up this coffee table at New To You Upscale Resale.  It has such great character.  I knew right away that I would refinish it with CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint.  I used Vintage White and Smoky Mountain Grey.  So pretty!

The little drop leaf table is actually the table I’ve been using to paint on outside.  I decided it needed it’s own rustic makeover.  I layered several coats of paint and then got out the power sander.  I had so much fun!

  1. I am loving all your little tables–how nice! My favorite one is the duck egg blue. Can’t resist that color!

  3. I love all these tables, Judy! You apparently have good luck finding some good ones to makeover! : ) That flower table is really cute. I love the size of it as something that would fit in easily to many spaces. Love the shape to the side table and coffee table. Duck Egg and Old White is a favorite combination of mine. I used it in my master.

  4. These are just lovely! My favourite is also Duck Egg blue. I think you could paint the phone book that colour and it would look great, lol!

  5. Hi Judy – Love what you’ve done with these tables. I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t always like how things turn out – I have a little end table that I painting in Old White and dark waxed – it just looks dirty to me, so it’s getting re-done in Pure White.

  6. Hi Judy While I really love all the pieces, my favorites are the white flower table and the white drop leaf table with the very handy little shelf underneath. I’d really love to have that table but how in the heck do you ship a table?
Don’t think I’ve ever seen a table with a flower shaped base, really cute and different. I’m always crazy about drop leaf tables. Had one I let go and could kick myself for letting go. What was I thinking? DUH!
Love the blue and white combo on the little end table, really soft looking for any room. It’s interesting to see how each person redoes the coffee table, don’t know how many I’ve seen of those that have been redone, good save.

    • Thank you so much! I just love what I get to do everyday. Thank goodness for paint…and so many colors to choose from! :) It surely would be great if it didn’t cost an arm and a leg to ship large items…I would have been happy to ship the table your way! Hope you have a wonderful week! Blessings ~ Judy

  7. Love them all and not taking the easy way out here. They are truly creative and beautiful. I can’t pick just one.
