French Graphic Cupboard

This precious little cupboard will be for sale soon at Furniture Affair!  I just finished her today as their “Guest Painter”.  The two front doors were just screaming for one of The Graphics Fairy designs.  Click here for your copy.  This graphic fit perfectly.  The tricky part was measuring (several times) to make sure both graphics were placed in exactly the same place on each door.  Tracing and hand painting takes a long time so I didn’t want any chances of a redo!  The Furniture Affair specializes in Model Home Furnishings and sometimes they get in pieces that need a little TLC.  That’s where I come in!  I get to paint a couple of pieces for them each month in their showroom.  It’s so fun to visit with customers as they walk by and ask questions about chalk paint!  I’ve met so many lovely people!


I used graphite paper to transfer the design onto each door then hand painted with a fine brush in black.

Colors used on cupboard ~ CeCe Caldwell’s Chalk Paint, Vintage White and Destin Gulf Green.  Clear and Aging wax were used to seal the cupboard.

    Just had to leave a comment about that cupboard or buffet? Not sure what it is but I sure do love how you made it gorgeous. I’d so love to have that in my kitchen. Wanted to say thanks also for the link to the graphic. I had to print it out for a transfer right away so I can use it on my next pillow, table runner or towel project. Don’t know how you got the graphic on the doors so perfectly but you are to be congratulated. What a wonderful job you did. So glad I found your blog, enjoy your projects, they inspire me.

Don’t laugh… birdhouse painting is the only thing I could paint and not mess up. You have inspired me SO MUCH.     Gorgeous piece. Initially, I thought this was Miss Mustard Seed’s Kitchen Scale, but I see now it it CeCe Caldwell’s. So pretty. I love the Graphics Fairy, too.     I used the same image on a ottoman tray I finished recently. Love that image and love the piece you did! I can see way CeCe Caldwell named that color “Destin Gulf Green” because it looks just like the waters of Destin, FL. Great work!
