My husband and I have matching desks for our laptops that we purchased when living in our condo in Colorado Springs. They worked perfectly there since we had limited space. The desk tops are just 29.5″ wide, so with our large laptops on them there is barely enough room for our mouse pads. So…when I got this desk, my husband immediately asked if I would make it over for him. I of-coarse said “yes”. Well, here it is, he loves it and guess what? It’s only 30″ wide. We both thought it looked larger than that and didn’t even consider measuring until it was finished. Needless to say, we are on the lookout again for a larger desk for him. This one will probably go up for sale but I’m working on a bedside table for my side of the bed right now and this desk may work for his side. I’ll play around with it sometime this week when I have time! Haha!
I polished the exposed wood and then painted the drawer, sides and back in Old White. I then added the Graphics Fairy Vintage French Ephemera on the back so this desk can easily be place in the center of a room or against the wall if need be. I lightly waxed with ASCP clear and dark wax mixture. It’s a simple, classic look and couldn’t be happier with the results!
The transfer method I used was the Blender Marker Transfer Method. For a tutorial on how-to, click here.
