The Old Oak Table

Wow…this poor oak table has definitely seen better days!  A customer asked me to do my thing and make this table pretty!  She had bought it for just $35.00.  It’s the roughest piece I’ve done yet to date!  Here’s the before and after photos!  I used several coats of homemade white chalk paint for the top and homemade chalk paint in blue for the base.  I had planned on stopping there but I felt like it needed just a little bit more to take it over the top.  She was trusting me with whatever I wanted to do!  Kind of scary huh?

It’s already starting look better just after being cleaned up and the first coat of paint on it!
No it has pretty legs and all coats of paint have been added.
This is where the fun begins…I grab my little red stool (for me to sit on) and I scoot around the table painting one stencil at a time!
And here’s the finished product after some light distressing and dry brushing with white around the base.  It also has two leaves that I painted to match!

Signed, sealed and delivered!!!
