Super Shabby Blue & White Night Stand

I had fun doing this project!  No matter what I did…it would be an improvement!  I tried a new color, highlighted the carved area with white, sanded, rubbed on dark walnut stain and spray painted the knobs.  Pretty funky piece ~ we’ll see if it sells!

  1. adorable little stand re-do, judy! love the white washed carving:)

  2. Love the new color, do tell what it is:)

    • Thanks… it’s Sapphire Sparkle in Flat by Behr. I bought a quart to see if I liked it. Mixed up a little Plaster of Paris in warm water and added it to the paint. Easy cheesy ~ covered the piece beautifully! The whites and greys go with everything but it’s fun to mix it up a bit once in awhile. :)

  3. I think it looks great! I think so many of us go with basic whites, it’s nice to see a vibrant color like that. You did a super job on it!

  4. Oh and I forgot to add, I am now following you!
