You’ve heard the saying “you snooze, you loose”. Well…this little gem is result of just that!
A few days ago, I was at an auction and when this little table came up for bid, no one was paying attention. So, I won the bid at just $5.00. I had someone approach me as I was carrying it to my truck and ask how much I paid for it. She was not a happy camper. I can’t repeat her exact words, but I’m hoping the rest of her day went better! Anyway, I’m so happy with end result. I painted the base with my new favorite Pebble Stone color and then used Old White for the top and drawer. The little knob was left over from a previous project and it’s great to be able to recycle. The original wooden knob was in really bad shape. I sanded all the edges and then applied Walnut Ink Antiquing Solution I purchased at Joann’s. It’s so easy to just squirt a little bit on and rub it in with a cloth. So fast apply and dries quickly. Gotta love instant results!!!
I wonder what I’ll come across this week? I’ll be ready for another truck load of treasures soon to restock! I’m sending my husband out to go do some pick’n while I continue to paint. I love surprises and he always finds great stuff.
