Little Round Ottoman

OK…round objects are not the easiest to work with, especially if you have a pattern in your material that needs to be centered.  I’m still having trouble letting this one go without re-doing it AGAIN!  It’s hard to be a perfectionist when working with imperfect, previously used pieces.  This little ottoman was already a little lopsided but of-coarse, me being me, I thought I could help it and create something very special.  Well, it was a struggle to say the least.  I hopped out of bed Saturday morning and started sewing and painting.  Everything was moving along with ease until I was ready to staple the fabric into place.  I already had fabric left over from my Harp Chair so I thought it would be fun to make a matching stool.  Next time, I think I’ll stick to my original idea of using burlap (or like material) and transferring on a design like I’ve done before. (Smiles)  My husband says…”leave it, it’s not suppose to be perfect.”  So for now…I’m letting it sit to see if it grows on me.  The two do look good together!  What do you think?
