Distressed Pine Wood Trunk

This was my husband’s all time favorite!  Just a plain pine wood box we picked up and with his help ~ restored!  I painted a coat of homemade mustard chalk paint on the base and rubbed on two coats of dark walnut stain on the lid.  I also rubbed on a light coat of stain around the entire base after sanding to distress.  Dave then added the hinge inside and the iron pull in front for added character.  The new owner of this little treasure in going to store wrapping paper in it.  We tested it, and it’s the perfect width!!! 1. Cute trunk. It looks great in its new mustard color.

    • Thanks Jennifer…I’m hoping we can get our garage transformed soon into a more functional workshop so my husband can start building some of these trunks in all different sizes! May have to take a break from painting for a few days and just get it done! :) So happy to have you as a follower, welcome!!! ~ Judy
