Yes! I knew exactly how I wanted to paint this little dresser when I won the bid at an auction last week. Once I was finished with the painting, I went on the hunt for crystal knobs. Unfortunately I couldn’t find any. Every store I went to either didn’t have enough or they were just too expensive. I purchased some metal pulls and although they were cute, they were just too heavy for this piece. I asked all my friends on FB and they all agreed…so I painted the original knobs white and put them back on! I like to make my own stencils but these 5″ numbers were found at Hobby Lobby and I was happy to buy a set. I mixed white and aqua chalk paint to create light drawer fronts.
Do you like my new back drop? My husband graciously made this for me yesterday outside in the heat! He purchased two unfinished door from Home Depot, stained them, then painted them and finally sanded them down for a the grand distressing factor! He hinged them in the middle and secured them to a beam so the wind won’t blow them over. We’ll be able to just fold them up and take them with us to market as well. It helps so much to have a muscle man (and talented one at that) around when you need one! Thanks Sweetie!
I need to go start painting again ~ hope you are all having a wonderful week!
