Re-purposed Lamp Base Into Bird Bath

This is made from an old lamp base and a ceiling fixture bowl.  I picked up a collection of neglected lamps missing their lamp shades and gathered up some ceiling fixture bowls in different shapes and sizes.  Together they make a perfect match for creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind bird baths.

First, I removed the electrical cord and other parts that are no longer needed.  However…I didn’t throw anything away ’cause I never know what project might be right around the corner that I’ll need these for.

Next, with the help of my husband, Dave we placed the ceiling bowl on top using the existing screw adding the decorative plug that came with the ceiling fixture.  Dave secured it with  clear Liquid Nails adhesive to prevent any leaks.

Seriously, I think it’s absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to make up all the rest of them.
