Orange Creamsicle Side Table

I started out with this simple, plain table and really wanted to spice it up a bit.  I proceeded to play with paint colors and came up with an “orange creamsicle” color.  I painted the legs first then painted the top a solid white, using chalk paint of-coarse!
I needed a stencil so I went to google and typed in Free Printable Stencils and found this one (click here if you would like a copy of the stencil.)   I printed it out using Premium Photo Paper, then cut it out with a X-Acto knife.  (This step was easy but took me awhile ’cause naturally I wanted it to be perfect.)
I placed the stencil in the center and worked my way out from there around the table, waiting a few minutes between allowing the chalk paint to dry.  I just used scotch tape to secure the stencil in place and used a little round sponge brush to paint inside the lines.  Super easy but it took most of the day.
Here is the final result!  She’s a sweet as an Orange Creamsicle don’t ya think?  Yummy!!!

Looks can be deceiving…here is the drawer pull but there is no drawer.  It does add character to the piece though!

  2. Thanks for the sweet comment on my chevron table, this one looks like it could have been its twin prior to our paint jobs! I love it! 🙂
