Little Red Nightstand

Oh my goodness, this poor baby really needed some love when I brought her home.  First she needed a good scouring and then a fresh coat of paint.  I used my homemade mixture of chalk paint adding the color “Crantini” from Behr.  I let the first coat dry then added a second.  This morning I did a light sanding then added a little dark walnut stain to antique.  Then some more sanding to expose some wood.  I wiped her all down with a damp cloth and added Annie Sloan Clear Wax to protect the finish.  She has new life in her spicy new red dress!  Another neglected treasure is saved!!! • Thanks so much. My husband has been asking me to paint something red for quite some time so I finally took a trip to the store and picked out several different colors to try out.

  2. The detailing really pops in that colour. Nice job! ~ Maureen

  3. I always figure, when in doubt go with red – I LOVE IT!
