This Harp Chair Is Singing A New Tune!

Just finished refurbishing this fabulous Victorian Style Harp Chair!  It has many, many layers just like the many stories I’m sure it has in it’s history!
This exceptional chair needs to find a very special home to sit in!

I used layers of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint ~ Old White and Paris Grey then antiqued it with a mix of Old White and Raw Umber Acrylic Paint.  I added some dry brushing of Old White.

I love the pattern on this material.  It’s a mix of white, light grey, dark grey and gold.  A very neutral pallet.

Here’s a close-up of an arm.  I did a lot of wiping down with a damp soft cloth to achieve the look I wanted, exposing some of the original wood.

  1. Beautiful makeover, and a very reasonable price. It should fly.

  2. Love all your latest painting and makeover projects with the chalk paint. I think the paint adds so much to the piece, and it is worth the effort and money. Your pieces show that well. Have a great weekend~

  3. I just figured out what the BIG deal is about chalk paint. My sister was in from Washington state and helped me do a couple of projects with it. I love, love, love it. I am finally in on the BIG deal.
